Sensory Integration Instructor Course

Chinese society is in a period of tremendous transformation. Individuals, couples and families are facing many pressures, challenges, choices, difficulties and responsibilities every day. The need for counselling related to these issues is also increasing. At present, the whole society lacks enough trained counselors to effectively solve these problems. The purpose of our project is to equip marriage and family therapists so that they can help people deal effectively and creatively with issues such as marriage, conflict management and parent-child education that people encounter in their lives.

There are 1.3 billion people and 370 million families in China. The vast majority of them have to go through the process of love, spouse selection, family organization and child rearing. The theory of synesthesia was first systematically proposed by Anna Jean Ayres, Ph.D., in clinical psychology, University of Southern California in 1969. According to Dr. Alce, sensory integration refers to the combination of sensory information input from various parts of human organs, through the integration of the brain, to achieve the correct response to internal and external perception of the body.

Sensory integration is a learning process in which the brain and the body coordinate. Without sensory integration, neither the brain nor the body can develop. Relevant studies in China have shown that 10-30% of children have sensory integration disorders in varying degrees. The main culprit of sensory integration disorder is urbanization and small family system. Behavioral disorders caused by lack of sensory integration: restlessness, inattention, clumsiness, severe shyness, difficulty in expression, timidity, nervousness, anxiety, irritability, etc., have been plaguing teachers and parents. The sensory integration therapy proposed by Dr. Alce provides these children with the opportunity to correct, and also solves the problem of parents and teachers for children with high IQ and low achievement. According to the latest research, the perceptual dysfunction rate of children in large and medium-sized cities in China reaches 80%, of which 30% is severe.

"Children's sensory integration disorder" means that children's brain loses the ability to control and combine various organs of the body, which will weaken people's cognitive ability and adaptability to varying degrees, thus postponing the process of human social evolution. Therefore, the "sensory integration training" course is introduced to promote the specialization of sensory integration training and give full play to the important role of sensory integration in the early childhood development stage. The National Training Network of China launched the training of Sensory Integration Instructor.
