Child Psychological Counselor Course

I. Course Introduction

The enlightenment of "campus bullying" in Zhongguancun No. 2 Primary School is that parents'awareness of safeguarding their rights is strengthened, their children are over-defended and the media is developed; news events are rapidly fermented through the network, and educational management institutions are under tremendous pressure of public opinion, and professional psychological teams are stationed to draw a conclusion to the event.

Relevant documents of the Ministry of Education: Circular of the Guiding Framework for Mental Health Education in Primary and Secondary Schools (Revised in 2012), Guiding Opinions on Preventing and Curing Bullying and Violence among Primary and Secondary School Students, Guidelines for the Construction of Psychological Counseling Rooms in Primary and Secondary Schools, etc.


II. Training objectives

Through the efforts of the psychological and behavioral professionals of the United Nations and directed efforts, China's "Children's Psychological and Behavioral Instructor" system will be standardized, healthy, professional, professionalized and internationalized. In 2016, a total of 5,000 to 10,000 people will be trained in 31 provinces and municipalities. By 2018, no less than 30,000 people will receive training certificates every year. To meet the actual educational needs to the greatest extent and improve the educational level of educators.


III. Training Targets

Psychological counselors for children need to take children as the core, integrate the three subjects of psychology, pedagogy and physiology, and put children into the educational ecology. Therefore, psychology, pedagogy, sociology, preschool education, normal students, kindergarten teachers, teachers and groups with relevant experience in education can learn, and the audience is large.


IV. Training Contents

This training course hopes to enable trainees to recognize and evaluate the behavior of school children from the perspective of positive behavior support, and to respond appropriately, so as to promote the development of school children and improve the quality of education and teaching. The instructor training is comprehensive and consists of three parts:

1. Psychosomatic Development of Children

Only by grasping the scientific definition of children's various behavioral manifestations, understanding the law of development of children's physiological, psychological and social attributes, familiarizing themselves with the level of development of children's physiological, psychological and social attributes and specific behavioral manifestations at different ages, can we make clear the appropriate goal of promoting behavioral manifestations by positive behavioral support, judge whether behavioral manifestations conform to the level of development, and judge individual development. Whether the individual characteristics caused by level are the background events of behavioral performance or not can we grasp the many background events that affect behavioral performance.

2. Basic Theory of Positive Behavior Support

Active behavior support is a kind of positive and active promotion measure which focuses on children's future development. It starts from the behavioral chain of incentive background, behavior and result, and starts from every link of the behavioral chain to correct, improve and enhance children's performance based on the understanding of the behavioral chain.

3. Application of Active Behavior Support Technology

Positive behavior support emphasizes the systematic method of intervention on children's behavior, develops children's positive behavior through education, adjusts education environment by means of systematic behavior change, so as to prevent and reduce children's problem behavior, change children's life style, and ultimately achieve the goal of improving their quality of life.


V. Training Certificate

Qualified trainees who have participated in the course training of the National Training Network of China will be awarded the Certificate of Professional Skills Training by the National Training Network of China. The certificate indicates that the holder has passed the relevant course training and assessment organized by China National Training Network. The certificate number is the only code, which is universal throughout the country. The validity of the certificate can be inquired through China National Training Network http://www.chinatraining.com.cn.


VI. Registration materials

Copies of identity cards and related qualification certificates should be prepared for registration. Two paper photographs with a 1 inch blue background are also required.
